What better way to start the year than to take a peek at some of the exciting makeup products and collections we are expecting to launch in 2018.
Here you'll find a look into the future of what is to come from our favourite brands such as MAC Cosmetics, ABH, Benefit and Makeup Revolution to name a few.
I won't keep you waiting, let's get straight into it.
1. MAC Cosmetics X Aaliyah
After an actual petition was commissioned by her fans MAC announced that MAC X Aaliyah would come to fruition in Summer 2018. I predict this will end up being one of the most highly anticipated collections of SS18.
2. Too Faced Unicorn Collection
Quite frankly, anything that contains unicorns is going to make us swoon! Too Faced released details of their Unicorn Collection towards the end of 2017. This is due to launch in the USA in February. If we do see this come to the UK I would predict we will see this landing late March/April 2018.
3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Loose Glitter Pigments
Norvina has been working on loose pigments for quite a while now and it appears that 2018 is the time we will finally be able to add these to our collections.
4. Kat Von D X Billie Joe Armstrong
In case you weren't sure Billie Joe Armstrong is a songwriter and guitarist of Green Day who is famous for his smokey eyeliner look. It makes perfect sense that they create a limited edition eyeliner. Basket Case is an anti-precision, oversized eyeliner which is retractable and self-sharpening. This will launch here in the UK on the 19 January.
5. KKW Beauty X Makeup By Mario
It has been confirmed that Kim Kardashian-West's beauty line will collaborate with her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic in 2018. Mario and Kim have created some iconic makeup looks throughout their time so it will be amazing to see what they have come up with.
6. Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Foundation
After everyone fell in love with Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer the foundation has been highly requested. Only a few days ago Tarte teased at something new being added to the Shape Tape line. We are all expecting this to be the highly awaited foundation.
7. Too Faced White Peach Palette
The White Peach palette is an addition to the Too Faced Peaches & Cream collection. The Peaches & Cream collection has been available for some time in the USA, but only just launched here in the UK exclusively at the Too Faced London Store on the 01 December. I have a feeling this will carry the same exclusivity here and only be available in-store or at toofaced.com. This is expected to launch in the USA later this month, so it could be a couple of months off before we see it here.
8. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Foundation, Concealer, Contour Book and Setting Spray
Jeffree Star has made it no secret that he is working on expanding his permanent collection. He completes a lot of reviews on his YouTube channel so we will be expecting some very well performing products! We can also presume that his concealers and foundations will be full coverage and with a matte finish. Watch this space!
9. Kat Von D Fetish Collection
Kat Von D is currently working on the Fetish Collection for her beauty line. This appears to be in the early stages and thought to possibly be an online exclusive. Thankfully, we won't miss out, as Kat Von D's official website now ships to the UK.
10. Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Bronzer
Norvina recently revealed the ABH Powder Bronzers on snapchat. These will be released in 6 shades expected in March 2018.
11. Benefit Cosmetics Gold Rush
Benefit Cosmetics Gold Rush looks to be a new blush/highlighter fairly similar to my favourite Rockateur. It seems to be a two-toned pink/rose gold. I would expect this to launch with their SS18 Collection. We also know that they will be launching a blush palette containing the new Gold Rush along with a new blurring foundation.
12. Kat Von D Divine Collection
Divine is an actor, recording star and international drag icon who is said to be one of the Kat Von D's biggest muses. The collection contains an eyeshadow palette along with a lipstick in vivid lime green packaging. This is due to launch in February 2018.
13. Makeup Revolution Gold Bar
Adam Minto, aka Mister Makeup, treated us to this sneak peek in Autumn 2017. It looks to be a Gold Bar highlighter. We are expecting this to make an appearance later this month.
14. Kat Von D Super Brow (pomade)
Soon we will be able to create monochromatic looks with matching hair and brow colour thanks to Kat Von D! Super Brow is a highly pigmented pomade that will be available in a rainbow of colours.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of the launches happening in 2018. There are much more plus lots we don't know about yet! I think 2018 will be another PACKED year where we will see even more growth in social media brands. I certainly think they will be holding their reign over the classic brands such as Estee Lauder, Dior etc.
Which makeup launches are you excited about in 2018?
