Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection Cancelled!?

It was announced overnight that the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection launch will be delayed.  This is due to subpar eyeshadow quality.  Following products being sent out in PR and fans getting them in early access it has come to light that the shadows aren't quite perfect.   YouTuber Jackie Aina was the first to demonstrate inconsistencies with the formulas with some performing well and others being patchy.

Morphe have stated that the palettes did not meet their "usual high standard due to inconsistent production".

This isn't the first time we have seen an eyeshadow palette made in collaboration with Jaclyn Hill pulled from shelves.  In 2016 BECCA Cosmetics teamed up with Jaclyn Hill and created The Champagne Collection which included a face palette and eyeshadow palette.  The eyeshadow palette was discontinued by the brand after launching due to bad reviews with customers complaining of poor colour payoff.

I do think these instances show Jaclyn's honest nature.  She could easily let these products go off into the world and take her coin.  However, it is great that she is putting consumers and fans first.  This also increases my confidence in Morphe's ethics as a brand.

The Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection will be launching later this year.

Sample Beauty Launches Second Eyeshadow Palette

British indie brand Sample Beauty have launched their second eyeshadow palette.  The Paradigm Shift Palette features 35 easily blendable shades (30 mattes, 5 shimmers) in a full spectrum of colour.  It has the perfect amount of colour pay off that suits you. Use the shadows on a wet base for intense payoff or use them on a set base for a softer look.

The brand do note that if you are looking for a palette that has intense colour payoff on a set base (or no base), this palette may not be for you.

The Sample Beauty Paradigm Shift Palette costs £34.95 and is available HERE
