  • 15 Beauty Launches Happening in 2019

I can't believe we are already at the beginning of 2019 !  I honestly don't know where the time goes.  That said, with the beginning of a new year comes fresh, new makeup.  If we thought that 2018 had an abundance of new releases then I foresee 2019 to be even crazier.  What  better way to start this year's blog than doing a run down of what is to come for the year.  I just love new products and collections! If 2018 was the year of the perfect base then 2019 looks like it may be about to blow that one out of the water.  Many huge names in beauty are launching their own complexion products and expanding on existing shade ranges.  I predict the race for the first brand with 100 shades has already begun. Brands are gearing us up for 2019 with sneak peeks and spoilers.  If you'd like to know what they have in store then follow me... 1. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Foundation, Concealer, Lip Glosses, Setting Powder and Setting Spray During his "Can't Relate Tour" in the UK in early October Jeffree Star revealed that in 2019 his 4 year old brand would not be slowing down.  He confirmed that Jeffree Star Cosmetics would be launching a foundation with a 50 strong shade range.  We will also have 'Magic Star' concealers with 30 diverse shades which promise to have a full-coverage, anti-aging, flawless formula and are expected in February 2019.  Alongside these we'll also have lip glosses, setting powder and setting spray as well as a new eyeshadow palette due in March 2019. 2. Sample Beauty - Erase & Boost Base Indie makeup brand Sample Beauty will have lots in store for us this year.  Their first release of the year will be the Erase & Boost Base.  This will be a concealer base for prepping and priming before applying makeup.  The product is due to launch in February 2019. 3. Jeffree Star Cosmetics X Shane Dawson Eyeshadow Palette This totally deserves it's own spot on the list as I am already predicting this will be THE launch of 2019.  Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson discussed during their viral 'The Secret World of Jeffree Star' documentary teaming up together to create a palette.  It looks as though we’ll see this idea actually come to fruition.  Not only will they be releasing an eyeshadow palette but we will get to see Every. Single. Step. Recorded and made into a new documentary series.  The docu-series is expected to include a peek BTS at everything from designing the palette, manufacturing through to launch day.   Of course, fans are already predicting the look and theme of the palette.  Many are hoping to see a conspiracy themed palette with Shane being renowned for his love of conspiracy theories and the illuminati.  Halloween 2019 launch anyone!? 4. Beauty Blender RE-DEW Set and Refresh Spray Beauty Blender have a refreshing new product for us to get started.  Their Re-Dew spray is a hydrating facial mist.  Featuring a fine mist nozzle so it won't disturb makeup it can be used to revive dull skin or give a matte foundation a dewier look.  It promises to help skin look just as glowing and gorgeous at 8pm as 8am. The Beauty Blender RE-DEW Set and Refresh Spray is expected to launch in January 2019. 5.  MAC Cosmetics X Lisa Frank Lisa Frank is renowned for her colourful and whimsical creations for children in the 80's and 90's.   The possibility of her teaming up with MAC Cosmetics is very exciting.  I can just imagine products in a spectrum of bright shades and packaging reminiscent of 90's childhood.  Although we don't have further details at the moment let's hope they don't keep us waiting too much longer. If the partnership is successful I would expect this to be a Spring/Summer 2019 release. 6. Jennifer Lopez Skin Care Line J-Lo aka the queen of the glow has confirmed she will be launching her own stand-alone skincare line. She is no stranger to the beauty industry after successfully releasing 20+ fragrances plus a collaboration with Inglot  she is now working on her own skincare company.  Talking to Refinery29 J-Lo promised 'It's going to be something that works, that's what you can count on when my name is on something.  'I want it to be something that encompasses all the things I’ve learned and all the secrets I have,' she went on to say. 'And it doesn’t have anything to do with needles.'   J-Lo's skincare is expected to launch in late 2019. 7. Revolution Parfum London Drugstore favourite Makeup Revolution will see a further brand extension in 2019 with the launch of fragrances under the name Revolution Parfum London.  These fragrances are expected to be affordable alternatives for premium products such as Tom Ford. 8. Smashbox Cosmetics X The Hoodwitch The Hoodwitch is a 'modern mystic' who is no stranger to collabs.  They already have a nail polish collection launched with Floss Gloss under their belt.  According to an unofficial, leaked photo which has been circulating the internet it looks as though we will see Smashbox Cosmetics X Hoodwitch collection launching in 2019.  The photo pictures a gorgeous duo-chrome highlighter in the shade Opti-Mystic. 9. Haus Beauty by Lady Gaga After previously teaming up with MAC Cosmetics for Viva Glam in 2009 and 2011 it looks like Gaga is ready to hit the beauty world on her own and is making 2019 her year.  Gaga filed the trademark back in May 2018 for 'Haus Beauty' and the brand recently secured it's web space on the world wide web: hausbeauty.com.  Is Gaga about to pull the Fenty of 2019?  My prediction is yes and we'll see Haus Beauty launch in late 2019. 10. Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette In 2018 we saw Urban Decay say farewell to their iconic original Naked eyeshadow palette.  Many fans agreed it was time to say goodbye to the cult classic.  In 2019 Urban Decay will launch the revival of their 'Naked Revolution' with the Naked Reloaded eyeshadow palette.  It contains 12 must-have nudes from soft mattes and satins to dimensional sparkle and metallic shimmer.  Urban Decay Naked Reloaded is expected to launch in early 2019. 11. NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Concealer, Setting Powder & Powder Foundation In addition to their much loved Can't Stop Won't Stop foundation NYX are extending the line with a concealer, setting powder and powder foundation.  The Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Contour Concealer has a lightweight formula with a matte finish and will be available in 24 shades.  The Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Setting Powder will be available in 6 shades which promises to have a featherlight formula which absorbs oil while leaving your complexion with a smooth, matte finish.  Lastly, there is the Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Full Coverage Powder Foundation.  This is a pressed powder that delivers a velvety-matte finish which keeps skin flawlessly covered without caking up or weighing it down. The The Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Contour Concealer is due to launch later this month in the UK and will be priced £8.  The setting powder and pressed powder are newer additions and I would expect these in early spring 2019 if not sooner. 12. Fenty Pro Filt’r Concealer In case you hadn't already heard Fenty are launching their debut concealer.  The Pro Filt’r Concealer will be available in no less than 50 shades corresponding with their ground breaking foundation.  The formula is said to be creamy, creaseproof and longwear which dries down to a matte finish.  Alongside these will also launch an additional 10 shades of Pro Filt’r foundation, 8 setting powders and new brushes.  All will launch globally on 11 January 2019 HERE. 13. NARS Spring 2019 Colour Collection NARS have a huge year planned but for spring they have created the unique Mosaic Glow Palette.  This features blusher, highlighter and bronzer that can be used individually or swirled together.  There will also be a single, universal shade of After Glow Lip Balm.  To brighten up any look they are also releasing a Mono eyeshadow in a vivid, fresh green hue.   Climax mascara fans will also be happy to note that their favourite mascara will come in a new deluxe, travel size just in time for summer holiday season.  All is expected to launch globally in February 2019. 14. The Ordinary Matte Watercolour Pore Minimizing Foundation This year we will see the Ordinary make a comeback with many new products.  One of the most hotly anticipated will be their Matte Watercolour Pore Minimizing Foundation.  What's exciting about yet another foundation?  Well, it's said to be thinner than actual water,  both oil and silicone-free with a pore minimizing effect and a matte finish all whilst being very budget friendly.  The coverage is also said to be medium to full which for something that is thinner than water sounds impressive!  Launch in the UK is expected to be Spring/Summer 2019. 15. Morphe Fluidity Collection Morphe are launching their debut complexion products and it's liquid foundation has one of the biggest initial shade ranges the industry has ever seen. Born in no less than 60 shades the Fluidity Full Coverage Foundation is also purse friendly at £16. It promises to be 24-hour transfer- and water-resistant wear for all skin types with a full coverage and matte finish. Other products included in the Fluidity Collection are the Fluidity Concealer, 2 primers and a finishing powder. The Morphe Fluidity Collection launches globally on the 17 January 2019. If you don't already and you love to know the latest in beauty and see some sneak peeks then you can find more on my social media. Happy New Year!

  • MAC X Patrick Starrr Slay Ride Collection Holiday 2018 UK

Here we go again! It's MAC Cosmetics X Patrick Starrr Round 5. Over the last 12 months we have seen MAC and Patrick Starrr release collections for each season and now we have the grand finale - the Slay Ride Collection for holiday 2018. MAC X Patrick Starrr Slay Ride is a full colour collection entirely encased in metallic true festive red - which I have to say is reminiscent of MACs Snow Ball Collection for holiday 2017. • Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Kenzo the french luxury fashion house are launching their first ever makeup product. Created by two of Kenzo's fashion designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon the debut eyeshadow palette features 8 shimmering shades. Each of the pans is framed by the signature all-seeing eye, open for contemplation of this world. I am so excited to the have the designer palette with me today so I'm able to give you all of details. Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette Features 8 pan eyeshadow palette All shades enhanced with light-catching shimmer Features dual ended brush Velvety formulas Richly pigmented and long-lasting Pans designed to resemble the iconic eye motif which is seen across the ready-to-wear collections Comes in a magnetic mirrored compact with accompanying brush Available HERE for £38 Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette outer packaging Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette Close Up The Kenzo World eyeshadow palette features neutral browns, rose gold, cool blue and frosty white so theirs great variety. All 8 shades in the palette are packed with shimmer and glitz. The shadows are really soft and have a beautiful texture that blends really well. The icy white makes a perfect inner corner highlight. The palette has a strong magnetic close making it great for travel. You can rest assure it won't be splitting open and causing a mess in your bag. The extra large mirror is also really handy. The packaging of the palette is really individual and they've bought something that looks like no other palette to the market. The dual ended brush included is totally flat at each end and is perfect for packing on the shimmers. Kenzo recommended using one end for darker shades and the other for the lighter. Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette Swatches Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette Swatches shades 1-4 Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette Swatches shades 5-8 I do think the palette is lacking matte shades as for me I like to always like use matte to transition and in the crease. It would have been fab to see at least one included so complete looks could be created with a single palette. The shimmer shades are ulta shimmery and glitzy and catch the light gorgeously. These are going to be perfect for the festive party season. I think this palette will be hugely popular with fans of the fashion house as well as makeup collectors. If your looking for something to enhance your makeup look this party season you'll be needing these shadows. The Kenzo World eyeshadow palette is available exclusively at Feel Unique for £38. This Christmas they are releasing a gold highlighting rose and I'm already predicting this will be one of the most highly sought after products of the season. Lancome's limited edition La Rose à poudrer for Christmas 2018 is a gold rose dusted with iridescent gold highlighting powder. To pick up the product you simply swipe your brush over the delicate rose to add radiance to the face or body. It's the ultimate way to apply your highlighter! • Lacura Healthy Glow Exfoliating Toner Review

I have to admit I've never really paid attention to Aldi beauty. The German supermarket chain isn't my first port of call for my makeup and skincare needs. Lacura is Aldi's in house exclusive skincare range. On first glance the line up includes totally recognisable products! However, on further inspection these appear to be dupes for the worlds most loved skincare. One product which really made me stand up and take note is the newly released Lacura Healthy Glow Exfoliating toner. You'll be forgiven for thinking this is Pixi Glow Tonic on first glance! It's even named as the 'Glycolic Glow Tonic' on Aldi's website. I absolutely love Pixi's Glow Tonic which is essentially a 5% glycolic acid toner which is renowned for gently exfoliating the skin, brightening the complexion and restoring its natural glow. Lacura Healthy Glow Exfoliating Toner Review The Lacura Healthy Glow is just £3.99 compared to Pixi's at £18. As an avid fan I'd love to save over £14 on Aldi's version. But is it worth the save? I've been trying out the Lacura Healthy Glow Exfoliating Toner and have my thoughts here... Lacura Healthy Glow Features 5% Glycolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng Improve skin texture Gently exfoliates Removes impurities Leaves skin with a healthy glow For all skin types Available for £3.99 Lacura Healthy Glow Exfoliating Toner Review I thought it would be worth comparing the ingredients of the two products. This is where you can really see if there is some substance rather than just similar packaging. I was really pleased to see that Lacura's toner contains no alcohol. This ingredient tends to wreck havoc on my oily combination skin type. The ingredients are really comparable. See the photo below for further details: Pixi Glow Tonic Top and Lacura Healthy Glow bottom. Photo courtesy of our community member @holly_beth91 The Lacura toner has a very light fragrance. I like to apply all over the face and neck. It dries down on the skin quite quickly and it's dry in around a minute or less. It doesn't leave any type of residue on the skin. It just leaves it feeling clean and refreshed. There is no tightness. You might find that your skin tingles slightly. I find it layers fine with other products and I usually add a hydrating gel on top and then if it's AM go for makeup with no issues. Lacura Healthy Glow Exfoliating Toner Review Overall, I really like the Lacura Healthy Glow and I'm beginning to wish I'd stocked up with more from my local Aldi. It keeps my skin really clear and it controls my breakouts so well. I really hope it makes a comeback! The Lacura Healthy Glow is currently sold out online. However, you can find it in Aldi stores nationwide for £3.99. Have you tried this product? If you'd like me to try out more Lacura prodcuts from Aldi let me know in the comments section below or tweet me!

Obsession have teamed up with British beauty vlogger Belle Jorden to create an eyeshadow palette and lip gloss set (more on that another time). Belle is known for her girly yet edgy look and tattoos. Everything from the packaging to the shade selection of the palette has been created by Belle. Belle is passionate about cruelty free beauty and Obsession share this ethos making them a great match. The Obsession X Bella Jorden eyeshadow palette features 16 shades and features neutral, warm shades with a hit of royal purple and red for everyday. I have been playing with this palette over the last couple of days and I have my thoughts to share with you. It think it's a really handy feature that you can easily remove the pans and add your best loved shades to a magnetic palette. The palette itself feels great quality and isn't too light weight. The quality of the shadows themselves are lovely. The white matte shade, Starlight does have a soft, subtle pay off which is perfect for setting your base. The other shadows have powerful pigment with great pay off. I was happy to find the quality of the matte black shade, Lola is an intense, deep black hue. All shadows are soft and blend really nicely. I always apply over concealer and they last really well. The shade selection in the palette is lovely. It offers go-to shades such as Pops, 1706 and Mama's girl along with gorgeous pops of colour such as Miami, Magic and Queen. Obsession x Belle Jorden Eyeshadow Palette Swatches Obsession x Belle Jorden Eyeshadow Palette Top 2 rows (shades top to bottom): Starlight, Glow Baby, Pops, Bear, Sagittarius, Sassy, Hot Sauce and Queen Obsession x Belle Jorden Eyeshadow Palette Bottom 2 rows (shades top to bottom): 1706, Mama's Girl, Magic, So Cute, Miami, 13, A.F and Lola Overall, I think the Obsession X Belle Jorden eyeshadow palette offers amazing value for money. • Beauty Bay Colour Theory Origin Palette Review & Swatches

Beauty Bay have bought back their own brand makeup! It's extremely exciting that our favourite retailer now has their own in house brand. Colour Theory is created by the beauty obsessed for the beauty obsessed featuring products which are high quality and affordable. Colour Theory's debut release is 3 eyeshadow palettes each containing 42 shades. The shade selection is split into 7 'looks' and take inspiration from a 'colour by numbers' approach to application. This makes it ultra simple to create striking looks whether your a complete novice or total pro. I have managed to get my hands on all 3 of the palettes but I thought I'd start off with sharing the first palette in the line and which also happens to be my favourite. Colour Theory Origin Palette outer packaging Beauty Bay Colour Theory Origin Eyeshadow Palette Features Contains 42 shades 6 step-by-step looks and endless mix-and-match possibilities Shade ranges from warm nudes and neutral shades with pop of rose gold and pink Features matte, metallic and colour-changing duochrome finishes Ultra-buttery texture Next-level pigment payoff with minimal fallout Vegan friendly PETA certified Money back guarantee Available HERE for £25 Colour Theory Origin Palette Review and Swatches Colour Theory Origin Palette Review and Swatches The first thing that strikes you about the palette is the packaging. It is stunning! It also feels weighty and amazing quality for the price point. The fact that it is set out in complete looks ready for you is a winning format. Its easy and perfectly effective. You don't even need to think which is a perfect time saver. It may even inspire you to create your own looks by mixing and matching. This format is perfect for beginners as it gives a great idea of colours which complement each other and the order of application. Although with makeup we all know there are no strict rules! At first I think everyone likes guidance whilst your increasing in confidence and ability. The shadows themselves are soft, buttery and very buildable. They can be blended with little effort and have good staying power (I always apply over concealer). There really is very little fall out. This does increase with the softer duochrome shadows but it's not an issue. Beauty Bay Colour Theory Origin Eyeshadow Palette Swatches Colour Theory Origin Palette Swatches Colour Theory Origin Palette Swatches Colour Theory Origin Palette Swatches Colour Theory Origin Palette Swatches Overall, Beauty Bay have done an immense job creating these palettes. They offer extreme value for money with the amount of product and quality overall. At £25 it works out at just £1.68 per shadow. If your into your warm neutrals or just looking for the ultimate autumn palette it'll be one for you. My personal favourite 'looks' set out are looks 4 and 6. Beauty Bay are struggling to keep these in stock so if you'd like to add it to your collection and try it out for yourself be quick off the mark.
